The US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas commends the extended service of Emily Metzger as the Chair of the Bankruptcy Bench Bar Committee.  She served in that capacity for nearly fourteen years, and she served as a member of the Committee for more than twenty years.  During that time the Committee faced significant challenges and changes, including conversion to electronic filing, major changes in the Bankruptcy Code at the time BAPCPA was passed, and the creation and adoption of a local Chapter 13 form plan.  As both Chair of the Committee and as a member, she served the Court, her fellow members of the Committee, and the bankruptcy bar selflessly and with great skill and insight.

The new Chair of the Committee is J. Christopher Allman.  He has served as a member of the Committee for the past three years, and he will also be the new ex officio member representative of the United States Attorney’s Office.
