Court Locations

When you visit:

  • You must show a photo ID to enter the courthouse. You must pass through courthouse security.
  • Lawyers, including pro hac vice attorneys, who present photo identification and a current bar registration card from this or any other federal or state court may bring in electronic communication devices (see Rule 83.2.4).
  • The public may not bring cell phones, cameras, recording devices, or other electronic devices (such as MP3 players). You will be required to return it to your car or leave it at the security station.
  • The Court may grant permission to bring cameras in for ceremonial proceedings or court events. Contact the local clerk's office for more information. Cameras are allowed at naturalization proceedings.

Parking: Handicapped parking is available in the lot adjacent to the building on the North side (Nebraska Avenue).  Effective April 1, 2026 the Southeast corner of 5th Street and Washington Boulevard (across the street from First Baptist Church) is no longer available.   Free City parking is available next to The Merc on 5th Street and Minnesota Ave. and east of the courthouse along State Avenue, on the south side of State Avenue, east of Children’s Campus.  The lot is labeled Lot 4, and has an old sign near the lot entrance closest to the courthouse that references paying for parking, but no paying mechanism is provided.  City parking lots with hourly rates are located on the 500 block of Armstrong Avenue and the 400 block of State Avenue. The lot at the strip mall (East of the building) on 5th Street from State Avenue to Washington is private parking. Violators may be towed.  Ticket/Towed costs cannot be reimbursed.
