The Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas is accepting applications for two actively practicing members of the bankruptcy bar to serve on the Bankruptcy Bench Bar Committee for three-year terms ending June 30, 2029.  To be considered for appointment for a term beginning in 2026, please submit your application by July 28, 2026.  The Court will also consider applications filed during the previous 3 years when selecting committee members.

The Bankruptcy Bench Bar Committee serves as a liaison between the court and its bar and the public; provides a forum for the continuous study of the operating procedures of the court; studies, considers and recommends the adoption, amendment, or rescission of the Rules of Practice of the court; and studies and renders reports and recommendations as the court directs.  More information about the Committee, including minutes of past meetings, is available at the court’s website at https://www.ksb.uscourts.gov/bankruptcy-bench-bar-committee.
