To extend the court’s current venue rule governing Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases, the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas has issued Standing Order 24-2 (effective July 1, 2024).  The Standing Order extends the venue rule for one year, through June 30, 2025.  (Compare Standing Order 23-1, which expires on July 1, 2024.)  Please be aware that if a case is filed in an incorrect division, the court may transfer the case to the proper division and the debtor may be required to provide to the matrix a notice that the case was transferred.
