Becomes effective February 1, 2007!
OVERVIEW
The Credit Card module is
designed to allow attorney filers to pay filing fees interactively as
part of the electronic filing process via the Internet to the U.S. Treasury.
Upon the
successful submission of a document requiring a filing fee the attorney
filer has the option to pay after every transaction or can simply make
one payment at the end of the day for all transactions.

Do NOT click the browser Back button while processing credit card payments.
It may
result in double charges to your credit card! |

NOTE:
Once you have completed the on-line
payment of fees the receipt entry will be automatically posted to the
docket sheet for each case(s). The
entry will include the filings fee and receipt number. |
PROCEDURE

Credit Card
Payment
Once you
have completed the docketing transaction a pop-up
window will appear. You
may either select the Pay
Now option or the Continue
Filing option.
If Continue
Filing is selected the user will receive an opportunity to Pay Now after each subsequent
transaction or you may pay at the end of the day using the Utilities menu
option, Internet Payment
Due Report.
If
Pay Now
is selected:
Click
Pay Now
The
credit card information screen will appear
Enter
the Cardholder Name
Enter
Address
Enter
Zip Code
Select
the appropriate Card
Type (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Diner's Club, or American Express)
from the drop down menu
Enter
the appropriate Expiration
Date by selecting the appropriate month from the drop down menu
and entering the appropriate year
Enter
the Security Code
which appears on you credit card (becomes effective February
1, 2007)
The
Payment Amount
will default to the current amount owed for the user account.

NOTE:
Cardholder Name, Address, Zip Code, Card Type, Security Code, Expiration
Date, and Payment Amount fields are MANDATORY
and MUST be filled to process
the credit card transaction. |
Click
Continue button
A
confirmation screen will appear allowing
you the opportunity to review the information you entered and confirm
payment.

NOTE:
If you wish to edit the information
on the confirmation screen click the Edit button. DO
NOT use the browser Back button. |
Check
the Authorization
box (see screenshot).
Fill
in the Email Address
and Re-enter Email Address
to Confirm fields if you wish to received an e-mail confirmation
of your payment (see screenshot).
Click
the Make Payment
button to complete the transaction.
Once
your card has been authorized a screen will appear with the following
message: "Thank you. Your
transaction in the amount of $ (amount) has been completed. Please
print a copy of your transaction receipt for future reference. The
transaction number is ######."
After
printing a copy of the receipt window for your records click the Close Window button.

NOTE:
If the filer either enters an invalid
credit card number or makes three consecutive errors in data entry, the
following messages will appear:

Utilities
Internet Payments Due
This report allows an attorney to pay
immediately all outstanding fees without docketing another pleading or
opening another case. Use
this report if you are done filing for the day and forgot to select the
Pay Now option on your last filing. There are no selection screens or
sort options offered.
Click Utilities
Click Internet
Payments Due
A summary pop-up
screen will appear
Proceed
with payment as described above.
Internet Payment History
The Internet Payment History Report allows
an attorney to review his/her completed credit card payments over any
specified time period.
Click Utilities
Click
Internet Payment
History
Enter date range
Click Run
Report
The report will display
