OVERVIEW

 

Exhibits or attachments available in electronic format should be submitted in electronic format.  Exhibits may be filed as summaries or excerpts.  Excerpted material must be clearly and prominently identified as such.  Pursuant to D. Kan. L.B.R. 9072.1 bulky or voluminous materials should not be submitted unless the materials are essential  (Emphasis added).

 

NOTE:    In rare instances it may be necessary to file an exhibit in paper format.

Filers should be aware of the following:

      • Filing party must make the complete exhibit available to opposing counsel and the court .

      • The complete exhibit must be made available in the courtroom at any hearing pertaining to the matter.

 

The CM/ECF system limits the size of an individual document to 2 MB.  As such, it may be necessary to create multiple document files to submit.  Sometimes, a supporting document must be filed in addition to the pleading.  Please refer to the hyperlinked instructions.   The procedure for exhibits is outlined below.

 

PROCEDURE

        1. Select Bankruptcy

        2. Select Other

        3. Select Exhibit

        4. Indicate if this is a joint filing with another attorney(s)

        5. Select the party or Add/Create Party

        6. Browse, verify and attach the Exhibit (pdf file)  

          • Attach supporting documents, if applicable.

        7. Check the box to indicate this Exhibit Refers to an existing event(s)

        8. Select the type of event it refers to

        9. Select the appropriate event(s) to which your event relates.

        10. Modify docket text as appropriate

WARNING: Verify filing entry information is correct before submitting the Final Docket Text.
